How To Build A List - How Can I Increase My List Profits?

Increasing your lists profit potential can be as simple as being selective about what you promote.
One of the big mistakes that most marketers make is that they promote everything. Now if everything you promote is the "best thing since sliced bread", then your subscribers will see right through that and not buy.

Maybe you've made a few sales in the past using the "throw enough crap against the wall" method, but your success will be short lived if everything you offer leads to disappointment.

When you are more selective about your promotions this tends to build value in your subscribers mind in: 1) the offers you promote 2) in you. They will feel like you really have their best interests at heart and be plenty receptive to your offers.

Does the salescopy itself convert?

Check with the merchant for the product your promoting to find out what kind of conversions they are getting. If it's good the merchant will not hesitate to brag about it.

Read the copy yourself. If you received this offer in your mailbox and read it would you buy?
Your answer could easily reveal the solution to increasing your list profits.

What kind of flavor do you get from your email copy? After you've written your promo, read it out loud a couple of times. Does it "sell the click"? If not, tweak it by getting ideas from some of the emails you've received that influenced you to buy.

Create a swipe file and try to infuse the persuasive elements from those mails into your own to increase sales.
