How To Build A List - What's The Best Way?

When it comes to list building there are many different methods that can be used to build a responsive subscriber base. All of these methods will be discussed on this blog, but one that comes to mind right now is article marketing.

With article marketing you have an opportunity to build rapport with your readers through your content. At the same time when someone opts in to your list from an article you've written, there is no mistaking that they are interested in what you have to offer.

Article marketing generates targeted subscribers and the likelihood of converting them into buyers is higher than using pay per click. While pay per click is the fastest way to populate your list, it costs a lot and your subscribers are not as targeted as the ones you get from articles.

So writing articles that link to an optin page is great way to build a targeted list. Another great way to build your list is with Squidoo. Squidoo lenses have a tendency to rank very well in Google. So putting a link to your optin page on your squidoo lense can be another effective way to build your list right out the gate.

At one time Squidoo allowed iframes, which was the code that would allow you to put an optin box on your lens, but they have since done away with that. So now what you can do is put a picture of an optin box or a subscribe button with a link to a separate squeeze page to collect opt in subscribers.

These are just a couple of ways that you can get started building your list that can have optimal results. The best part about these methods is that they are free.
